In Germany, stricter Corona rules come into force today in order to stop the spread of the virus. In addition, the first vaccinations against Corona have been carried out since the end of December. Our update gives you a first overview. As we live in a federal country, there may be deviations in the individual federal states, so our information is always only a guide.

The Covid 19 infection rates are rising rapidly in Germany and the federal government in cooperation with the federal states is trying to stop this rise with a partial lockdown. Corona-update, September 4th, 2020

A 14-day self-isolation will remain obligatory for travelers from high risk areas from October 1st onwards. A shortening of this period is possible with a negative corona test. It will still be mandatory to get in touch with the competent public health institution. New to those guidelines is that the test can only be done 5 days after entering Germany, which means that one must plan with a week of self-isolation at least because it usually takes 48 hours for the test result to arrive.
