You can also decide for a vocational training. This is a dual training and combines training and education. Apprentices spend a certain period of time at the company providing the training. There they acquire the practical skills they need for their job. At a vocational school they get the theoretical knowledge. An apprenticeship lasts between two to three years. During that time apprentices receive a training allowance from their company. This allowance is on average 650,00 Euro high. When the vocational training is over, the apprentices are often taken as skilled employees into the company.
